How can prenatal yoga nurture my spirit?

A nurturing aspect of prenatal yoga is simply being able to spend time with other expectant mothers. Because the classes are mixed, there is an opportunity to meet women who are at various stages in their pregnancy. Some women later join mother and baby yoga classes together, form playgroups or just keep in touch.
Attending yoga class feeds the spirit, as we take time away from work and other responsibilities to care for ourselves. By combining physical exercises with breathing exercises, we begin to quiet the mind. In prenatal yoga, women have the opportunity to practice in an environment that supports their lifelong journey of motherhood.
