Soul to Soul vs. Role to Role

10 Steps to Raising a Conscious Family

By Annie Burnside

Pages:  1  2  3  4

This is the place to record what comes through from your spirit. What are you feeling? Take note of the epiphany while out on that walk or the "aha" moment while folding the laundry. Write down the shift in perspective due to that great movie or the creative idea while lying in bed. All of this counts!

This is your soul guiding you through your life. Journaling is a gateway into the depths of your soul. Help your children develop this daily ritual.

Step 9 – Having a Family Spiritual Sign
Ours is the butterfly. We collect them. All five of us know that the butterfly is our personal reminder of God who is around us all the time. This common spiritual sign provides such enthusiasm and fun in our family. Once identified, you will begin to see your personal sign from God everywhere.

Step 10 – Show Your Spirit to Your Children
Be giddy with your children. Call your spirit up! Let your children see the artist in you, the healer in you, the minister in you, the dancer in you, the empathizer in you and the nature lover in you. Showing your spirit liberates your children as they get older to show theirs. Live true without fear and without apologies. If not now, when? Why wait?

Ours is nowhere near a perfect family. No family is. But this is not about perfection. This is about taking ownership and being the spiritual leaders of our own families. Choose to see your family as spiritual companions eager to explore the non-physical world with you. Knock on heaven's door every day, not in death, but in life! It's simply a choice in how you perceive the world. Begin your journey together now, creating a truly conscious, open spiritual home where everyone is awake and listening to the voices of their own souls.
