By Carma Haley Shoemaker

After 30 years, Missett not only teaches a class every day, she also personally choreographs and tapes 30 different routines every 10 weeks. These tapes are then sent to more than 5,000 franchised instructors around the world to learn and teach to their students. "That's my challenge: to keep it full of variety and newness," says Missett. "I don't get up thinking, 'Oh, I have to go to work.' I think, 'I wonder what fun things I get to do today.'"

Classes Available
There are many types of Jazzercise classes from which to choose. Regardless of your age, level of activity, fitness level, size or even the amount of time you have to exercise, there is a Jazzercise class that is just right for you. They include the following:

Jazzercise – The original dance exercise phenomenon! Each 60-minute class offers a blend of jazz dance and exercise science choreographed to today's hottest music.

Jazzercise Plus – Get even more of a good thing. Each 80- to 90-minute class provides additional aerobic training, muscle toning and strengthening, and flexibility exercises for individuals ready to accept the challenge.

Body Sculpting – Sculpted arms, tight abs and firm and shapely legs are the primary focus of this challenging 30- to 45-minute muscle toning workout, which features a creative combination of weight training and stretching.
