Workout and Wardrobe Tips
for Pregnancy

area of their lives," says Lange. "Active wear has become such a staple in any woman's wardrobe, both because people are working out more and also because the lines between active wear and fashion have really blurred over the last few years, and fabulous workout wear is great for hanging out in and using as weekend wear, too."

According to Lange, the Liz Lange for Nike line is designed specifically to flatter a pregnant figure as it grows and expands. She says the collection offers extra support in areas where a mother-to-be needs it most – in the belly, bust and legs – and is made for a variety of fitness activities including yoga, walking and stretching.

The collection uses Nike's proprietary athletic fabric technology called Dri-FIT. The Dri-FIT fabric draws moisture away from the skin toward the fabric's surface for rapid evaporation. Besides keeping you comfortable longer, the material is designed to protect you from overheating, which is an important concern for any woman exercising while pregnant. This is a particularly good benefit for pregnant women (especially in the summer!) who tend to sweat more.

"I knew that I alone couldn't possibly accomplish the benefits with maternity active wear, because it is both fashionable and definitely technical as well," Lange says. "So I was overjoyed when Nike approached me and said that they wanted to offer active apparel to their pregnant customers but wanted to co-brand it with me. I think we both felt that together we could truly offer women the best product possible."

The line includes everything from yoga pants to T-shirts to shelf-bra tanks and is entirely constructed using Nike's Dri-FIT fabric. And not only is the fabric durable, it looks great, too. In fact, you may find yourself wearing the yoga pants every day!

"I am not a doctor, but I do notice that women seem to look and feel so much better when they do stay active during their pregnancies," Lange says. "It goes along with my philosophy that women shouldn't have to change their lives to accommodate their pregnancies, and I want them to have the wardrobe to do it all!"
